I purchased tickets to make my husband happy as he had never seen The Disco Biscuits live, even though I'm not a fan. The MC "Red" was a great start to any comedy event, very funny, I must ad. However, everyone else was just blah. Then in comes The Disco Biscuits talking about a 600lb person, and he’s quite congested because he says he still has residual flu symptoms. Mr. Cooper SMH... My husband, who typically loves a good comedy show, was more with the chuckle crowd, which shocked me. I'm looking around me and I can see maybe 1/8 of the crowd in my immediate section seriously laughing, and everyone else was either putting out a simple chuckle or nothing at all. The Disco Biscuits draw a very interesting group of people that I particularly don’t care to deal with, like the drunk lady behind us that was cussing, insulting and screaming loudly, “That’s right! That’s the way we do in Detroit”. The woman from Detroit, my husband, and him were left behind as I left 20 minutes into The Disco Biscuits performance. I attend multiple comedy shows a year, but I will never attend another The Disco Biscuits show, and my husband has decided to watch him on tv only from now on.
